Trip to TN Day 13

We went to see little Avery today.

My sister had a little dinky bow in her hair. I went and found the big ones. I think she looks so cute now.

Sheldon will probably not be too happy with the next set of pictures. Everyone knows I am really girly. I love all things pink, frilly, and lacy.
This is all good, but I am the mother of 2 boys. I am not going to have another child, so I had to use Crocker to fill in for me.

Ryne and his little sister.

We got home and Grandpa read the boys a story before they went to bed.

Trip to TN Day 12

We stayed home most of the day and played. The boys have been playing, wearing their shades, and making messes.

We met Nana for lunch and they loved eating Tacos.

After their naps, Granny took them riding on the golf cart and we all played outside.

They had a lot of fun while I was cooking dinner.

This little buddy had fun too. He was busy clanging his pot lid on the floor.

Happy Birthday Avery!

Today was the highlight of my trip to TN. When I came into town 11 days ago, Avery was not due until August 2. Kimberly has been in and out of the hospital and had a lot of problems with this pregnancy. Her doctor decided it would be okay to deliver a week early. So, the boys and I postponed our trip home and are staying another week.
I was so so so thankful that I was able to be here when Avery was born.
I have a lot of pictures, so be prepared.

We were able to go back and see Kimberly and Brent before the c section.

My dad has always called Kimberly "Princess". He has been joking with her that she was going to have to give up her title to Avery. So, she was doing her final wave before she gave up her title. ha. It was so funny!!!

The anxious grandparents waiting to hear that all was well with Kimberly and Avery.

Crocker did a little walking while he waited.

Then, he did a little napping.

Grandpa and Crocker played a little while.

Ryne came to the hospital and Brent came out to tell him that his sister was here!

She brought him a present and he was so excited!

We were able to go to the nursery to see her while Kimberly was in recovery.

Then, we had to go to the waiting room until Kimberly was in a room.
Ryne played stickers and looked for treasures in my purse.

Pretty soon, it was time to meet Avery.
Avery Elise was born on July 26, 2010. She weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.

Ryne brought Avery a present too and was so excited for her to open it.

She is so sweet and has so much hair! She is the only grandchild in the family to have hair. My sister and I did not have hair either.

1st family picture.

Then, Nana and Grandpa were able to hold the baby.

I was a little excited when it was my turn!!!!

Sisters and Avery!

Crocker was not too impressed with her, but I think she will grow on him.

Ryne was able to hold Avery and it was so sweet.

There have been so many prayers lifted up on behalf of Kimberly and Avery. We are so blessed and so thankful that the Lord has answered our prayers and everyone is healthy.

Coupon Tips

I have had a lot of people email me and want to know about my couponing.

Here are a few tips and things that I do.

1. Wait for a sale. If you use your coupon on a full priced item, it is not worth it. Wait for the item to go on sale and you will have a much better deal.
Example: I had 6 coupons (3 for 0.50 off and 3 for 0.75 off) for Crest toothpaste. Crest toothpaste is on sale this week at Kroger for $1.00. I used all 6 coupons, bought 6 tubes of toothpaste, and spent $1.19

2. You can stack a store coupon and a manufacturer's coupon for the same item.
Example: If I have a Target coupon for $1.00 off Dial soap and a manufacturer's coupon for 0.50 off Dial soap, I can use both and save $1.50. If you pair this with a sale at Target, then you can get the item for free or almost free.

3. Print coupons off the Internet.
I print them off of redplum.com, coupons.com, smartsource.com, and target.com.

That's all I can think of for now. I hope you are able to save a little $$$ with these tips!

Trip to TN Day 9 & 10

We had a pretty low key weekend. Saturday we went to a nearby town and looked at the little shops. I have been wanting to go to a little shop that does monogramming and it did not disappoint. I found a few things for Crocker and cannot wait to get them back.
I went to Kasey's birthday party on Saturday night. It was so fun and I had such a good time. It was nice to have some adult conversation and not have the kids around.

Sunday, we went to church.

Crocker was able to get in a few hugs and kisses from Mrs. Carolyn. She used to keep me in the nursery when I was a baby. :)

Max lit the candles.

He wouldn't even sit by me. He had to sit by Ms. Ashley.

Everyone enjoyed a nap on Sunday afternoon and we went out to dinner.

Max spent the night with Granny and Papa and we are leaving for the hospital bright and early.

We cannot wait for Avery Green to get here! Please pray that my sister, Kimberly, has a safe delivery and a healthy baby.
