8 long years...

8 years
2 duty stations
4.25 years (1530 days) at war
countless memories

I am so proud of Sheldon for receiving an honorable discharge from the Army. The past 8 years have not been easy, but he fulfilled his obligation and now can move on to bigger and better things.

I called Sheldon last night and told him that I just put the baby to bed. He told me that Max wasn't a baby anymore. I quickly told him that he will always be my baby. Here are a few pictures of Max that I had on my cell phone.

Back to Dr.

I took Max back to the doctor today. On top of his respitory problems, he has a stomach virus. I hope we are coming to the end of it. He is feeling a little better today and is playing around.

Kaye is doing better. Over the weekend, she had to have her appendix taken out. We are hoping she will come home today.

Big Brother

Max has been feeling a little better today. He still has a fever, but he is playing around a bit more. He got a get well present from Aunt Kaye and Uncle Rob. It says "Big Brother". He looks so cute in it!

Little Chick

Grandpa and Grandma H sent Max a little chick for Easter. He loves to have me wind it up and watch it hop all around!

Sick Baby

Max was at daycare today and they called and his fever was 103.5. He had been coughing a lot, so I went on and took him to the doctor. He was diagnosed with reactive airway disease. He was wheezing at the doctor and she did a chest xray. It was not quite normal, so he has to use an inhaler for a few days.
We got home and he was feeling so bad. He let me rock him for awhile, which he NEVER does. Then, he got his blanket and laid down in the floor.

Happy Easter

The EB came to visit Max on Friday and brought his his drumset. He has LOVED playing with it.

Today we slept in and went to church.

PS. Please overlook Max's shoe choice. Most of his things are in WY.

Max's Drawer

When Max was born, my dad cleaned out the lowest drawer in the kitchen. He said that he would fill it with juice and snacks for all the grandkids. Soon, Max learned to open the drawer and empty its contents. Now, this is what he does with the drawer.

One Year Difference

We were at the mall yesterday and saw the Easter Bunny. I decided to get Max's picture made. He made big friends with the EB from in the line, but was scared to death when he got into his lap.

Here is Max's Easter picture from last year.

and this year

He does not even look like the same child.

Using a Straw

Max has learned how to suck through a straw and loves having his own drink.

Toys?

Max has a ton of toys all over the house, but he would rather play with random things he finds.

Updates

Sheldon is in Wyoming and loving his new job. He finally found us a place to live and I am excited about that. We are renting a 3 bedroom house. I am so glad that he found it because we were going to have to move when the baby gets here.

Max is talking up a storm. He is blowing kisses and is the cutest thing ever.

I am doing okay. I have been really sick the past few weeks. I am so glad that I was on spring break last week. I was so nauseous and could barely even function. I went to the doctor and they gave me IV fluids. I am feeling a lot better this week, so I am hoping it has passed. I am anxiously awaiting the end of school and Max and I moving to Casper.
