Last night, Max's school had their annual chili dinner and pumpkin glow.

I had never heard of a pumpkin glow, but it was such a fun experience. Everyone brings a pumpkin up to the school along with a trash bag and their carving tools.

We hollowed out our pumpkin and drew on our face before we went to the school. Photobucket

You carved your pumpkin and then put a light inside. They had everyone put them on the hill by the school. Then when it gets dark, all the elementary school kids sang their Halloween songs they have been learning at school.

Max was too busy playing with his friends to help carve the pumpkin. (He looks thrilled in the picture, but today he is home sick. So, I don't think he was feeling all that great.)Photobucket

It was so fun seeing Max and all of his little friends at school.

We had the best time and will definitely be looking forward to next year!

Blast from the Past

Two posts in one day!?! I don't even know myself anymore!

Anywho!

About 2.5 years ago, this was a familiar sight.

Photobucket

I thought all of that was in the past until today when Eli woke up with raspy breathing. He has bronchitis and is obviously thrilled with the breathing treatments.

Photobucket Photobucket

I look thrilled too. Nothing like pinning your 9 month old down for 15 minutes while he's thrashing around and screaming.

My boys love love love to spend time with their dad. Their eyes shine and sparkle when they know he is home for the day. He is a much better playmate than boring mom.

While the boys were napping one Sunday, Sheldon went to shoot. He saw a rattlesnake and it came home with him. The boys were ecstatic to see it when they got up.

They helped Dad skin it and cook up some to have with their dinner. The big guy and 2 little boys liked it, but I couldn't bring myself to have any.

Oh my! Nothing thrills me more than all my boys in matching shirts!

Dentist Visit

Max had his 1st dentist appointment yesterday.

He probably should have gone before now, but oh well. He did so great. He just hopped up in the chair like he was an expert.

His teeth look great and he does not have any cavities.

So, I did what any great mom does after a dentist appointment. He had a milkshake on the way home.

This post consists of more random pictures from the past few weeks.

I have been teaching the preschool class on Wednesday nights at our church. It is super fun and I am having the best time. Max is in my class, so that is super fun!

Photobucket

The boys borrowed an angry birds game from a friend and play it nonstop for 2 days.

This little cutie loves to unbuckle and come sit/talk with me while we wait in the line to pick up Max from school.

Photobucket Photobucket

I signed up to help out in Max's class and become the chair person for the Halloween party.

Just hanging out and waiting on Dad to get home.

Not much has been going on at our home. Last week was pretty busy, but we have had a pretty low key week.

I got my fall decorations put up a couple of weeks ago.

Crocker has been a bike riding fool. He is loving his new found freedom.

We decided to move the boys into the same room to have a guest room/craft room. Sheldon and Max made another bed.

It has been pretty cold here and one night last week we had white beans and ham. It was so good and will be a winter staple!

Eli is pulling up and playing with big boy toys.

On October 10, Max turned 5 years old.

He ate a special breakfast and went to school.
Photobucket

Sheldon and I went and ate lunch with him. It was fun seeing him and his friends.

Later in the day, I went and took cookies, juice, and treat bags to his class.

After school, Max opened his present from Sheldon and I. It was a big hit and he loves loves putting together Legos.

Photobucket

We let Max pick out an activity to do together and he wanted to go shoot his gun. So, we all loaded up (Mama and Eli usually stay home) and went to the range. He is becoming a really good shot and had fun shooting glass bottles.

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

We ate hot dogs for dinner and had cupcakes.
Photobucket

He had a great day and was worn out from all of the partying!

5 years

Five years ago I became a mother and my 1st child was born.

He is kind and compassionate. He tries hard to make sure he is doing the right thing and making us proud. He loves Legos, going to school, and orange Fanta.

This morning, we had Max and Crocker's birthday party. We have been planning for months to have it outside, but last week we found out it was going to be super cold and raining. So, we had to move it inside.
I decorated the upstairs in angry birds decor.
Photobucket

The party was from 9-11 this morning, so I served breakfast food.

We had fruit, pigs in a blanket, and nutri grain bars. Since it was so early, I served chocolate donuts instead of cupcakes.

We had milk and oj for the kids. The adults drank water, apple cider, hot chocolate, and coffee. Photobucket Photobucket
I made an angry birds game for the kids to play, complete with a slingshot.
Since we had to move it inside, the slingshot was scrapped and the kids threw the balls at the boxes. Photobucket

I tried to get a few pictures of the kids this morning before the party, but I bet you can guess how well that went over.

 Photobucket

The parents glad that the party is over!

Crocker turns 3

Crocker had a great day on his birthday.

He took treats to preschool, ate yogurt, had lots of phone calls, opened presents, ate pizza, had birthday cake, and opened presents.

He felt so special and enjoyed his day!
