I recently learned about the blogger app for my phone, so I am blogging from the road!
We are headed back to TX from a 2 week stay in TN. Even though we had to go under not great circumstances, we still managed to have a good time. The boys had fun having sleepovers, playing with cousins, and being spoiled by everyone they saw! They also went to church, played Spiderman, read books, and snuggled!
They have been on a sugar high for 2 weeks from all the candy, gum, and snacks they have had. Crocker helped himself to a piece of gum the other morning and got it all over his belly.
They are going to be sad when we get home and the degrandparenting begins and Mommy's rules come back. I am anticipating a lot of time outs and the word "no" being said a lot!
Eli has been so so fussy the last few days. He has a tooth coming in and in a few of the pictures, he is in tears.
We have all missed Sheldon and are so excited to see him. He sent me flowers earlier in the week and I know he is ready for us to get home.

The boys and I have been in TN this past week and will come home in a few days.
My uncle passed away last Tuesday and we wanted to come back home for the funeral.
Sheldon could not get off work, so my sweet dad flew into Oklahoma City and we picked him up to drive the rest of the way home.
It was a long drive and I am so grateful he was able to help me
I am so thankful all of my boys are great travelers, or it would have been a miserable 15 hours in the car.

.

We came in for a sad sad reason, but we have been able to see friends, spend time with family, and have a birthday party. I have a lot to catch up on!

Before my parents left, we got a few good pictures of the boys with them.

It was so good to have them here for a visit and we are already looking forward to the next visit!

Truth.

Last month, I started reading a new devotional.
I found it through a Bible app I had on my phone and it has been wonderful.

I have grown. I have learned. I have been changed.

  SheReadsTruth
Yesterday started 3 weeks on prayer and I can already tell it is going to be another growing experience.

Want to give it a try? Follow these steps {via She Reads Truth}:

1) Download the YouVersion app on your smart phone. Don’t have a smart phone? Create a login via your web browser.
2) Go to the Plans section + search for "prayer".  It is a 3 week study.
3) Stay connected through the She Reads Truth blog or the Twitter or Instagram feeds. If you post regarding the study/community, be sure to tag it with the phrase #SheReadsTruth.
4) Keep a journal. Write down what strikes you. Take a picture. Record your journey. Share what you're learning. Encourage others. Let yourself be encouraged.
5) Read, learn, grow, connect, share, move, journey, see. Each day. Every day. Repeat. Get ready to have your life changed!

We had the best time with my parents while they were here. We went shopping, ate good food, and just spent a lot of time at our house hanging out.

The boys, Sheldon, and my dad played with water guns, the sprinkler, and water balloons. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

My mom got to do what she has been itching to do since April; cuddle the boys and hold/feed Eli. I don't think I fed him the whole time they were here.

We had a great great 4th of July! We went to a small town near where we live to go to their parade.
We attempted a family shot while we were there.

I kept Eli back in the shade and Sheldon took the big boys up to sit on the curb to watch the parade. Their favorite part was all the floats throwing out candy. We brought quite the stash home.

While Eli and I were watching the parade, I looked over at my left side and saw my mom and dad coming through the crowd! I was so surprised to see them, but they had flown in to spend a few days with us. Sheldon was in on the secret, but the boys and I were so surprised.

After the parade, we went to eat lunch and then shopped around a little.

We came back to our house and Grampy gave the boys water squirters that one of my friends from TN sent.  Of course, they loved them and quickly turned them into guns. They are all about hunting and shooting these days.

We stayed around home, the boys look late naps, and we are dinner. Then we went to watch the fireworks. All the boys got out and sat outside of the car. Photobucket
My mom and I were able to stay in the car with Eli and still enjoy the fireworks. Photobucket
Crocker came to the car pretty soon because he was scared, but he enjoyed the fireworks from Nanny's lap.
