Just Playing

Tummy Time

Max played on the floor for a little bit today. He is holding his head up so good!

If I worked...

Today would be a SNOW DAY!!!!!

Just like Daddy

Sheldon always, always, always rolls up his pant legs. It does not matter if they are jeans or dress pants. He just does not like stepping on them if they are too long. I dressed Max yesterday and his jeans were a little too long, so I rolled them up. A little later, I walked by him and I immediately thought about Sheldon. It is funny how they are alike without even realizing it.

Happy Birthday Ryne!!!

Sheldon and I offically have a new nephew.

Ryne Lain Green (pronounced Ryan) was born tonight at 7:27pm. He weighs 8 pounds 9 ounces and is 19 inches long. He has dark hair. After a long and hard labor, my sister had to have a c-section. Mother and baby are doing good. I cannot wait to see him. Max and I are going this weekend to meet our new nephew and cousin!!!

YAHOO!!!

I got an update today on when Sheldon is coming home. Their replacements will be there in July and Sheldon's batallion will depart no later than August 6!!! YAY!!! Can't Wait!

Also, since being in Iraq Sheldon's company has:
flown nearly 5000 hours since the start of the deployment. We have executed nearly 50 pre-planned Air Assaults resulting in over 200 detainees. Our Company also executed the largest Air Assault in the entire Brigade with 8 Blackhawks (A Company), 2 Chinooks, 2 Apaches, 2 Kiowa Warriors, and moved almost 400 people for the Operation. The purpose was to clear an entire area for US troops to establish an outpost for future operations. These achievements exemplify the standard of excellence and level of experience we have in our Company.

Good Job Guys!

Almost Time

Sheldon and I are soon going to have a new nephew. My sister went into the hospital Tuesday night and on Wednesday morning, they will start her induction. Please pray that everything goes smoothly and her and Brent's little boy arrives safely.

Max's New Car Seat

Max's new car seat was delivered today. It is hard to believe that he is too big for his carrier, but he is. He barely fits in it and it is so heavy to carry. He now has a big boy car seat that he can sit in until he is 100 pounds.

1/2 way there...

We are officially more than halfway through this deployment. Sheldon has been gone for about 8 1/2 months. We have about 6 1/2 - 7 more to go. He still will not be home for a few more months, but at least will be on US soil.
As I look back on the months since May, time has really flown past. It does not seem like he has been gone almost 9 months. It seems like just yesterday we were in GA saying goodbye. Hopefully, the next 7 months will go by just as fast.

Hanging Around the House

It has been super cold here for the past few days. Max and I have been staying in and just playing, napping, eating, and watching TV.

Max had some more rice cereal today. He could hardly eat for all the talking and grinning he was doing.

I have no Idea

I went to get Max up this morning to eat. He had scooted himself all the way up in the bed and turned himself around. He scoots himself up all the time, but I have no idea how he turned himself around.

High Chair

My mom and dad followed us home on Sunday. My dad put together Max's high chair. He looks so cute sitting in it!!!

Rice Cereal

Saturday night, Max ate rice cereal for the first time. He really liked it. We did not even have to do the airplane or anything to get him to open his mouth. When he saw that spoon coming, he knew what to do. He is going to be a good eater.

Mrs. Martha

On Saturday, Max, my mom, Aunt, and I went to Franklin. We went to see a family friend who lived across the street from my grandparents. My mom and aunt grew up with her kids. We had a fun visit and she loved seeing Max.

I have had a few people ask me about me blog design. I had it made by Playful Pickles blog design. It turned out super cute and I am so happy with it. Go take a look at Playful Pickles !!!

My New Do

I got a new hairstyle today. Well, basically it's the same hairstyle. So, I really got a trim with new bangs.

Me and my brother...

Racing Team

It is no secret that Sheldon loves cars, racing, and anything to do with either of them. My mom found this hat at Janie and Jack. It says International Racing Team with a picture of a car. I had it monogrammed with our last name. Now, Sheldon will be thrilled that he has his own racing team.
