Super Max

Max is REALLY into playing super hero's these days. He assigns everyone a role and he saves what stuffed animal needs saving. Crocker is usually the bad guy and I am the mom of the baby getting rescued.

It is fun to see his little imagination play out and all the different scenarios he can come up with.

No Pants

A couple of nights ago, I went in Crocker's room to check on him before I went to bed. I got a big surprise. He decided to take off his pants and diaper before he fell asleep.

He was pretty proud of himself when I woke him up to redress him.

I hope it was just a one time thing and he decided to remain fully clothed from now on!

Oklahoma City

On our way home from TN, we stopped in Oklahoma City. We ate dinner and went to see the Oklahoma City Memorial.

This is the front of the memorial.

When you walk through the front, you see the water.  The water is where the road used to be.

This is a part of the building that was destroyed.

This is to the left of the water feature. Each chair represents a life that was lost. They are in the area where the building stood.

The front of the memorial has 9:01 on it and the back has 9:03.

The building to the right of the water is now a museum.

TN Visit

We had a fun visit to TN. We visited family and friends.

The boys had fun eating candy.

Climbing and getting into things they shouldn't.

Going on golf cart rides and going over to Granny's house.

They also had plenty of play time and tickle fights.

Another 1st

We experienced another 1st at our home today. We had our 1st visit to the ER.
This morning, Crocker fell from the fort on the swing set. He seemed okay at first, but then I realized that he would not put any pressure on his left leg or try to walk on it.
I called the doctor, but he was out of town for the week. So, I packed him up and headed to the ER.
They did an xray and decided he just had a bad sprain. He is still not fully walking on his leg, but he is putting a little pressure on it. The doctor said it might take a few days to get him back to normal.

Surprise!

We just got back from a quick trip to TN. Sheldon had to go that way for work, so the boys and I followed him to my parents house.
We decided to only tell my dad we were coming and let everyone else be surprised. We drove in and let the boys ring the doorbell. My mom answered the door and her mouth was hung wide open with shock. I am sure they were the last two people she thought would be standing there.
My sister and her family came up while we were there, so we took a few pictures with all the grand kids.

It is hard to get 4 kids 3 and under to all look at the camera and smile!

Max was so thrilled to see his buddy! They played so good together and had the best time!

We had a big family lunch and my dad ordered a cake that said "Surprise"!

We had such a good trip and I have more pictures to come!

Busy Bags

A few weeks ago, I signed up to participate in a busy bag swap via this website.
Basically, I made 15 (or 30) Ziploc bags of the same activity, mailed them in, and got 15 (or 30) different bags in return.
I decided to participate in a toddler and preschool swap. Crocker is the lucky recipient of 15 bags with activities and Max has 30 bags.
Sheldon was convinced it was a scam and I was wasting my time. Well, I showed him and the boys activity boxes arrived this week.

Most of the bags contain some type of learning based activity (sorting, matching, lacing, colors, Alphabet, numbers).

The boys have been playing with them and really seem to enjoy them!

1st Time

Crocker has been working and working on climbing up the wall of the playset. He usually gets 1/2 of the way up and stops. On this day, he was brave and climbed all the way up.

He was so proud of himself.

He even tried the slide after much encouragement from Max.

He hit the ground and had to cry a little. After a little loving from dad, he was ready to go again!

Handy Man

I am so blessed to be married to someone who can make things. Most of the time, I can show him a picture of a piece of furniture that I like and he can make it for 75% less than it costs.

I mentioned to him that I would like something to hang my jewelry on and he made a necklace and earring holder.

We have been wanting chairs for our back deck and he made these 2 in just a few hours!

We recently got a new mattress and he has been hard at work making the frame and headboard. I cannot wait until it is all finished and can show pictures!
