New Pet???

Sheldon and a friend went to shoot last week. Sheldon brought the boys home a surprise. They saw a turtle in the road and picked it up to bring home.

It scampered around for a little while. Max was really into it and wanted to keep him.

Crocker was not as enthused. He was ready to set him loose and I was too!

It was a fun little pet to have for a few minutes, but I like him much better outside!

Max has started playing soccer. His team had their first practice last week and this weekend is their first game.
He is pretty good at it and kicked a few goals during practice.

Family Visit

Over the weekend, we had family come and visit. We had a full house and loved every minute of it. Our weekend consisted of talking, laughing, eating, and playing games. We managed to get a little sleep in there, but not much.

Grandpa came in late Thursday night and was a surprise for the boys when they woke up on Friday.

Everyone else came in around lunch on Friday.

Crocker had to take a nap, but was happy to snuggle with Courtney when he woke up.

Then, it was Grandpa's turn. Crocker climbed up and down out of his lap a lot this weekend.

The boys really loved Courtney. They followed her around and wanted her to entertain them.

They played with Vicki awhile.

Popcorn managed to find somewhere to lay as the night wore on.

Grandma brought the boys a few cheese balls and Crocker could not wait to open them up. He carried them around for a long time.

On Saturday, Sheldon took all the boys, men, and Courtney to shoot. Max is getting pretty good and loves to go with him.

We were usually one chair short at the table, so the boys got to eat outside. They were so thrilled!!!

We played a lot of games and got to introduce everyone to Tripoley. It is such a fun game and we played it a lot!

Aunt Vicki taught Max how to play Go Fish. He loves it and we have played many rounds since he learned!

Sunday morning, we got up and got ready to go to church. Grandpa shared one of his special drinks, Ensure, with Max. Max thought it was a milkshake and loved it!

We ate lunch on Sunday and then everyone headed home. We had such a good time and were sad to see everyone go.

It's a......

Yesterday afternoon, I started having cramping which turned into contractions. After a few back and forth calls to the hospital, I decided to stay home and try to wait it out. I went to my regular doctor today who immediately sent me to the hospital to me monitored. They gave me medicine through my IV and monitored the baby for an hour or so. The doctor also ordered an ultrasound, which enabled me to find out if the baby is a boy or girl. After about 2 hours, I was released to come home. I have a kidney infection, which is causing the contractions.

Sheldon was home with the boys, so he missed the ultrasound. On the way home, I stopped to buy a baby outfit. I wrapped it in pink and blue, so he wouldn't be able to guess the gender.

He started unwrapping and I told him to slow down, so I could get a couple of pictures.

He was excited at the color of the outfit!

This is one of the outfits he saw. It's blue and we are having another BOY!!!!

We are excited for Eli Osborn Hoesli to join our family in January!!!

Day Away

Last week, I talked Sheldon into taking us to the big city. We have been working on our bedroom and needed fabric for curtains. We also needed a blanket for our bed. It is slowly coming together.

Max insisted on wearing his cowboy outfit. He wore his cowboy hat everywhere we went. All he needs is a belt buckle!

We shopped all day and went to a hibachi restaurant for dinner. It was so fun and the boys enjoyed it. They got a little scared when the cook made flames on the grill. Max actually got up out of his seat and tried to run off. He got used to it quickly and enjoyed the rest of his dinner.

I have no idea what Max is doing here, but it apparently was funny.

What's New???

Sheldon and I are experiencing something with Crocker that we never did with Max. He likes to take his diaper off at night or during his nap. Luckily, he has never done a #2 while his diaper was off.
So, he gets to wear something special while he sleeps. We have started putting duct tape around his diaper so he cannot take it off. He is so proud of his new addition to his outfit.
