Grocery Store

Max and I went to the grocery store today. He was having a good time until he noticed all the green veggies I was buying. He will be eating brussel sprouts, okra, and spinach once I make it up. yuck. I am glad that I am not him.

Messy Messy

Max had a hard time eating his peas today. He was too interested in looking for Popcorn and jabbering to me. Here is the aftermath. Needless to say, I had to change his clothes.

Back to the Pacifier

Max is back using his pacifier. For awhile, he would not take it. He would suck on 2 or 3 fingers at a time. Today, I was cleaning in his room and I found one. I gave it to him and he was sucking away.

Baby Legs

I won a green/yellow pair and a red pair. He looks so cute.

Swinging Along

For some reason, Max would not sit in his swing for about 2 months. I would put him in it and he would scream. I tried it again the other day and he liked it again.

Doctor Paper

Max loves to go to the doctor's and lay on the table. He loves the sound of the white paper crinkling as he moves his arms and legs. We found clear paper that does the same thing. It provides lots of entertainment for Max.

Solid Foods

Today, I started Max on solid foods. He is starting the green vegetables. He ate green beans today and I think he liked them pretty good. I thought that he might put up a fight and not want to eat, but his little mouth would open right up. I am going to make his baby food, but I bought a Gerber 1st foods container to see the consistency. That is what he ate today.

Sitting Up

Max can now sit up, with assistance, for short periods of time.

Easter

I hope that everyone had a Happy Easter. We woke up, got ready, and went to church. Max and I spent half of the church service in the fellowship hall. He was so tired and cranky. I think that his teeth are hurting him. After church, we went to my aunt's house for an Easter dinner. It was really fun. Here are a few pictures of Easter Morning.

My friend Stac tagged me with this survey about my husband, so here I go.

1. What is his name? Sheldon Allen Hoesli

2. How long have you been together? We have been together for 2 years and 1 month. We dated for 5 months, got engaged, were married 5 months later and have been married for a year and 3 months.

3. How old is he? He is 25 and I am 24. He is 1 year and 2 months older.

4. Who eats more? I am not sure. I think he eats more at a meal, but I probably snack more.

5. Who said "I love you" first? I did. hehe

6. Who is taller? Sheldon by like a foot!

7. Who sings better? Considering I cannot carry a tune, Sheldon

8. Who does the laundry? uggg... I do. I hate laundry. I really do not mind doing it, but I hate the folding and putting away.

9. Who pays the bills? I guess we both do. Sheldon set up 2 payments that directly come out of the bank and I pay the check style bills.

10. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Standing at the foot of our bed, Sheldon sleeps on the right and Corn is in the middle.

11. Who mows the lawn? Well, a lawn guy until Sheldon gets home from Iraq. Then, he will assume the responsibility.

12. Who cooks dinner? Whoever is home first.

13. Who drives? Sheldon. I think I scare him, but I am not sure.

14. What does he like to do? Play computer games, ride 4 wheelers, tinker around fixing cars, play with Max and Corn, Watch the Speed Channel.

15. Who is more stubborn? probably me.. I am a bit of a hard head.

16. Who kissed who first? I definitely think that he kissed me first.

17. Who proposed to who? He proposed to me on the flight line at his aircraft.

18. Who has more friends? I have more friends that I have known for a long time. He probably has more friends at work.

19. Who is more sensitive? Me totally.

20. Who wears the pants? We share one leg each.

Waiting on Nana

We are in town visting my parents for a few days. Max and Corn were anxiously waiting for their Nana to get home from work and play.

Big News!!!

Last night, we felt a tooth poking through in Max's mouth. You can look in his mouth and see white poking through the gums. This morning, I checked to see it if had grown anymore and there was another tooth poking through right beside the 1st one.
At the rate he is going, he will have a mouth full in no time!

So Cute!!!

Max got this picture frame today at Merle Norman. It is so cute and I love the lime green color. The black is actually a magnet piece all the way around and the MAX letters are magnets. How cool is that!
I am sure as he gets older he will want to buy all the cool magnets to put on his frame!

We Don't Play Favorites

Too Much Fun...

I think that Max has too much fun in his bed sometimes. He does not fully understand that his crib is just for sleeping.

Saturday Outing

This past Saturday my mom and I decided to go shopping and out to lunch while my dad was out of town.
While we were eating, Max had a little snooze at the table.



We went to Macy's and Max was really enjoying riding in his stroller.

Interesting Fact

When Max stands up (with help) all of his toes curl down under his foot. The 2 big toes do not do this, but the rest of them do. It is really strange and I am hoping that he grows out of doing that.

Scaredy-Corn

Over the weekend, we went to my parents house. On Saturday night, there were really bad thunderstorms. From 2-4am Popcorn was sitting on the edge of the bed barking at the thunder. He was really scared. It is pretty sad that Max is not the one keeping me up in the night, but the dog.

Afternoon at the Park

Today was such a pretty day. The sun was shining and it was in the low 70's. I decided after Max's nap to take him to the park. They have a baby swing and he really liked it.




After the park, we came home and got Popcorn and went for a stroll around the neighborhood. Max is such a good rider in his stroller and Popcorn was running around like a mad man. We had such a fun time and it was nice to get out of the house into the sunshine!

5 Months Old

Max is officially 5 months old.
Here are a few things that he is doing or likes to do.

-He loves rice cereal, but not oatmeal cereal. He will hardly eat oatmeal.
-He is sleeping 12 hours (or more) a night.
-He takes a 2-3 hour nap everyday.
-He will not cry in the mornings when he wakes up, unless he is hungry. He will lay in his crib and talk to himself, look at his hands, and kick his feet.
-He loves to play in his exersaucer.
-He has rolled over 4 times.
-He does not liked to be rocked or held like most babies. He is too busy. He would rather be standing (with help), looking around, and playing on the floor.

He is growing up too fast. He is looking more like Sheldon everyday!
