Brother

Lately, Popcorn and I have been working on how to act when brother gets here. Here is the brother that we are using.


I am trying to teach Popcorn that he is not allowed to get in anyone's lap that is holding brother. He has been doing okay with it. He really doesn't care if I am holding brother. He will just look and then go on about his business.
It really hurts his feelings when my dad is holding brother. He will lay out in the floor and act dead. Then when brother is gone, he will be fine and hop in my dad's lap. We obviously need to work a little more before October.

Happy Birthday!!!

Today is my mom's birthday! Happy Birthday! We love you!!!



My mom's sister moved into the house right behind my parent's 2 months ago. Their backyards connect. There is just one problem. There is a big ditch separating the 2 yards. So, my dad built a bridge to connect the yards for my mom for her birthday.
Now my mom and aunt can walk over and see each other. Wait a minute. If you know either one of them, you know that they aren't going to walk anywhere. So, my dad bought this for my mom.








Now, she is riding in style.

Update on Sheldon

I just wanted to let everyone know that Sheldon is okay. The blackhawk that went down in Iraq was not him or anyone from his batallion. Please keep the families of those soldiers that were killed in your prayers. I know that this is a hard time for them.

Thank you so much for the phone calls, texts, and emails concering Sheldon's safety. It really meant alot to me and I know that Sheldon will be so grateful that you are thinking of him.

Almost 34 Weeks

I do not think that my belly can get much bigger, but I have a feeling it will!

Popcorn

Popcorn has started sleeping with me at night. When we go to sleep, he sleeps on the foot of the bed or out to the side. My dad comes and gets him when he gets up and takes him outside. Then, Popcorn comes back to bed. Lately, he has been cuddling right next to me. Here is a picture that I took at 6 this morning. Popcorn came back to bed and got on my pillow. Then, he wiggled himself down into the covers. I have a feeling that this is not going to work out well when Sheldon comes home.

Old Friends

Yesterday, I was able to get together with 2 of my longest friends. We have all been friends since I was in the 2nd grade. It has been about 18 years. We grew up going to the same church. We all graduated high school and 2 of us moved away. We always try to get together whenever we are all in town. It was really fun and I was glad to see them.

14 down, 14 to go

I was counting up the weeks on my calendar that Sheldon has been gone. He has been gone for 14 weeks. Then, I realized that he comes home for his mid tour in 14 weeks. So, we are halfway there!!!
It has gone by alot faster than I thought it would. I bet when Max comes, time will just fly by!

Race

Popcorn loves that we are living with my parents. Him and my dad have become big buddies. They have started playing hide and seek and racing each other. It is really funny. Here they are having a race.



Popcorn wins everytime. They have races everywhere; In the house, down the driveway, you name it.

Doctor Appointment and updates

I went to the doctor this past week. Max is doing good. His heart beat is about 140-160 beats per minute. My doctor is trying to set a date to induce me because the Freedom Calls organization is trying to set it up for him to watch the birth. Hopefully it will work out.
If it all works out, they will set up a teleconference in my hospital room and then Sheldon will go to one of their set ups around his area. We would be able to see each other and talk back and forth. They have all of our information, we are just waiting to see if the hospital agrees and they can set it all up. Please pray that it will all work out and Sheldon will get to experience Max's birth.

Sheldon is doing good. He is just working alot and is always tired. We get to talk almost everyday, which is good. his Internet is down right now, but they are working on getting it all set up. Please keep him, all the other soldiers and their families in your prayers.

Back to the Hospital

Last night, I had to go back to the hospital. My left leg had been hurting all night and day. I called my doctor and the nurse told me to go to Labor and Delivery because it sounded like I might have a blood clot. Well, I went and they did an ultrasound of my leg. There is no blood clot. They think that Max is laying on a nerve in my back. I guess that can cause your whole leg to hurt.

Welcome Home!!!

Popcorn and I were so happy this afternoon when my mom, dad, aunt, and uncle came home. They left last Saturday morning for Hawaii. Popcorn kept trying to stow away in my dad's bag. It's a good thing that he found him before he left.


We have had a full week of taking care of two houses and we are so glad that they are home!

whoops....

When Sheldon and I lived in Savannah, Popcorn stayed in the kitchen while we were gone. He would use the bathroom in there since he was too little to hold it all day. Now, he has a crate that he stays in while we are gone. He has been really good about potty training and not going to the bathroom all over.
My parents and I have been wondering what he would do if we left him in their utility room and not in his crate when no one is home. Yesterday, I had to go to Bradford to get our mail and check on the house. I put Popcorn in the uility room with some toys.
When I got home, I was happy to see that he didn't use the bathroom in there. He just left me another surprise.



He had scratched up the door leading outside. Needless to say, he is back to his crate.

Grandparents Times 2

My parents are going to be grandparents again. Nope, I am not having twins. My sister and her husband are expecting their 1st baby. Baby Green is due in February!!! Baby Green and Max are due exactly 4 months apart.
Here we are in Memphis today. She is 13 weeks and I am 30 weeks.

Popcorn's Playdate

Today, Popcorn and I went to Memphis. We went to visit my sister, her husband, and their puppy. I dropped off Popcorn to play with Wrigley and picked up my sister. We went shopping and out to lunch while Brent watched the puppies.



I love to take Popcorn to Memphis. He comes home worn out.
