Thanksgiving Treats

Max and I made treats for the teachers at his and Crocker's school. We made a batch of cake balls and bagged them up for every teacher.

He is becoming a big help in the kitchen.

He needed to count all of them.

All ready to go.

Daddy's Boys

My boys love their daddy. When he is home, they are all over him.

I love how Sheldon and Max are glued to the tv. ha!

My boys will probably spend a lot of time waiting on me at Hobby Lobby.

We are Thankful...

Max is at such a good age this year for the holidays.
Everything is so new and fun for him.
We are doing a few special things leading up to Thanksgiving that I will be sharing along the way.

Today was a cleaning day for me and a playing at home day for the boys. Max and I talked about what it means to be thankful for things. He made a picture of what he is thankful for. Then, for fun we made Indian headbands with feathers. Crocker had no clue what was going on, but he was in on all the fun too.

Max helped me list what Crocker is thankful for.

I especially love that Max is thankful for cake and ice cream. He is so funny!

Park Day

The weather has been so rainy lately. One day after the rain, the boys and I went to the park.
Crocker is proving to be a little daredevil like Max.

The boys enjoyed a snack while we were there.

Happy Veteran's Day!

In honor of Veteran's Day, I want to say thank you to my husband. I am thankful for his sacrifice, his service, and his willingness to go what the Army needed of him. I am so grateful to everyone who has been in the service and for the sacrifices that they all made. I hope that everyone thanked a Veteran today and remembered their sacrifice to help us all live free in this great country!

Quick Trip

The boys and I went to the zoo one day this week.
It was the quickest trip to the zoo that we have ever had.

It started out really fun. We were all, especially Max, really excited. He did not want to ride in a stroller, so I just brought one for Crocker.

We went to see the sea lion show.

We were also able to see the birds.

We went to the Children's Zoo and Max had an accident. He peed in his pants and we had to leave. He never has an accident, so I did not bring any extra clothes for him.
He was so upset and told me that it was ok and his pants would dry.
We had to leave and he had to wear one of Crocker's diapers home. I am lucky that he is skinny and a size 4 diaper will fit him!

When we walked into the zoo, the photographer snapped 2 pictures of us. You can click the links and see them.

We had a fun 30 minutes at the zoo and hope to go back soon!

3 year well child

We headed to the doctor today for Max's 3 year well child check up.
He was so excited to go to the doctor, but he was even more excited for a flu shot. He told everyone in the waiting area that he was going to get a "school" shot.

He weighs 40 pounds and is 42 inches tall. He is above the 95th % for height and weight. He is just a tall boy.
He is right on track with his development and is doing wonderfully.

Here he is waiting on the doctor.

After the doctor came in, the nurse went to get the flu shot. Max was so excited and so happy. He was really thrilled about his shot.

His enthusiasm was gone quickly when he realized what a flu shot entailed. When he had to stretch out on the table and I had to hold him down, he quickly decided that he did not want his flu shot.
He got his shot and told me that it hurt. He was so brave and was excited to get a sticker.
