Gone to Florida...

Max and I are in Florida with my parents. They invited us to come and we jumped at the chance for a vacation.
Here is day 1:
Max was so good on the ride. It ended up being a 10 hour drive. He did not even fuss until the last 10 minutes.



We got here and went straight to the pool. Max was not a big fan. It was a little chilly.




Then, we walked down to the ocean. Max was really scared of the waves coming at him. He cried the whole time. Hopefully, he will like it by the end of the week.




Here is the view from our condo.




After resting for awhile, we went to the grocery to stock up. Max got to drive an airplane through the store.




Max got tired of riding, so my dad carried him. Max was pulling his hair so hard and making his head hurt.

Rolling Around

Max is a rolling fool these days. He is all over the place and never sits still.

Waiting on Nana

Max and I came to town to meet Mama today. We took the opportunity of being early to take a few pictures.



He loves to stand and "drive" the car. I found out that if I turn him around to face me, his booty can honk the horn.

26 on the 26th

Sheldon will be 26 on April 26.

26 Reasons Why I Love Him:

1. He is the funniest person I know.
2. He trusts me with anything.
3. He makes funny faces at me.
4. He let me pick out our puppy then drove me 3 hours 1 way to get him.
5. He is very brave.
6. He is not scared of anything.
7. He let me decorate our house anyway I wanted to.
8. He is a good cook.
9. He will bake me red velvet cake just because he knows I like it.
10. He does not get mad or irritated when I serve him a still frozen supper that I had cooked and thought it was done.
11. He let me take a year off from teaching and stay home with Max.
12. He is adventurous.
13. He is passionate about his hobbies.
14. He let me pick our vacation before he left for Iraq. He had a great time at Disney!
15. He sends me letters and flowers from Iraq.
16. He calls me even when he is dog tired and just wants to go to bed.
17. His main goal is to provide for me and Max.
18. He recorded himself reading for Max when he was home on R&R because he knew it was important to me.
19. He is very handy and knows I already have a list of things for him to do when he gets home.
20. He laughs at all the dumb things I do and does not get mad.
21. He is my best friend and I can go to him with anything.
22. He is the best dad to Max.
23. He would do anything for me.
24. He is close with his family.
25. He has not thrown out my Union sweatshirt even though I wear it everytime I am cold.
26. He loves me and Max dearly.

Adventures of Max

Max and I went to eat dinner with Granny Kaye tonight. He has become such a busy guy. Here are a few pictures to document our dinner.

Max ate all of his supper and is playing with the plastic wrap that silverware comes in. I guess it is okay for him to suck on it.



Now he is greeting the family at the table behind us. I am sure that they had never seen such a cute boy.


Then, Granny had to sit him on the table and keep him occupied. Oh, and his shirt says "Handsome like Daddy". That is definately the truth. They could be twins.


The "toys" that kept him occupied while we were eating. He threw 2 spoons, a straw, a napkin, plastic, and a pack of crackers on the ground. Yes, I picked all that up.

Wal-Mart

Max and I went to Wal-Mart today. He talked and gurgled all throughout the store. When we were walking out to the car, I looked down and he had his foot propped up. I thought it was really cute.
