Big Brother Trip (part 1)

Sheldon and I have been planning on taking the boys on a weekend trip for a few months now. We decided to go after their birthdays and have a little trip all about them before the new baby arrives.
We went to Oklahoma City and had a fun filled 3 days and 2 nights.
When we got into town, we ate lunch at Chick-fil-a. The kids, especially Max, were thrilled. They love their chicken nuggets!
After lunch, we went to Bass Pro. The kids are just like their daddy and like to look at guns and fishing equipment. While we were there, we bought the boys pop guns. They LOVE them!!!

After we left the Bass Pro, we went to a cupcake shop. We each had a cupcake and lemonade.

We ate at the Macaroni Grill for dinner and Max was thrilled to be able to color all over the table with his crayons! Crocker was entertained playing games on Sheldon's phone.

We all were tired so we went back to the hotel to rest up for the next day!

Birthday Weekend Part 2

Max woke up so excited about his birthday!!! We broke out the party horns and started the all day party!

After breakfast, we got dressed and went to church for a little while.

When we left church, I took the boys to Sonic for lunch. Max requested a grilled cheese and a pineapple milkshake.

When we got home from lunch, we had a surprise. Daddy was able to come home from work early! Max wanted to go hunting and to the car wash, so that's what they did.

Sheldon treated Max to an ice cream cone for his special day.

When Crocker woke up from his nap, we played a few games. Max loves go fish, so we played a few rounds.

He was excited when he won!

Then, we played dominoes.Max and daddy were a team.

Crocker and I were on the other team.

After dinner we had birthday cupcakes.

We are so thankful for the special day we had with our birthday boy!

Birthday Weekend Part 1

We had fun celebrating Max's birthday all weekend. We started with pancakes for breakfast on Saturday. Sunday morning, we woke up to celebrate our sweet boy. He requested cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

Then, we let him open his birthday presents.

Crocker was content to sit with daddy as long as he could see the new toy after Max.

It was a chilly day, so the boys had the chance to wear their new birthday clothes to church. I thought they looked so handsome!

After church, we had ham and mac and cheese for lunch. Then, we went to a birthday party. One of Max's little friends, has a birthday on Oct. 9 and he turned 4 too!

I snapped this picture after Max hugged Crocker a little too tight and told me he was just choking him.
My life with boys is never dull!!!

1st Soccer Game

Max has started playing soccer and he is enjoying it. He is the youngest one on the team and he not even technically supposed to be playing. You have to be in preschool, but they made an exception for him.
He does really well in the practices, but the games are another story. He thinks everyone should have a turn to kick and does not quite understand the concept of everyone running after the ball.
He has had 2 games and he is getting better with each one. The 1st game was a mess. He was too busy waving at Sheldon and I and climbing on the goal to actually play soccer.
The 2nd game, more of the players were able to come and he did not get to play as much. He did really well running after the ball and only sat down 2x on the field because he was tired. :)

Ready for his 1st soccer game.

He is on the far right in blue shorts.

Running after the ball.

In the team huddle, he is #7.

Shaking hands with the other team, Max is in the back of the line.

I think his favorite part of the game is the snack and drink you get when it is over. Or maybe it's that we go out to eat after the games!

Outside Fun

With the cooler temperatures we have had, the boys have been able to play outside quite a bit. One of their favorite things is the glider that is on the play set.
