Decorating for Christmas
We celebrated Christmas while we were in Tennessee. My dad had the Christmas tree up when we got there and let the grandkids decorate it after Max and Crocker's birthday party.
They had a blast and really did a great job!

TN Birthday Party (part 2)
The theme for the boys party this year was Transformers. My dad bought Bumblebee and Optimus Prime costumes for the boys to wear at their party.
I have to admit, when they walked out, I did not even know who they were! I need to read up on all these boyish characters.
They were excited to find party hats and party horns.
We ate hot dogs and hamburgers and then it was time for cake.
The boys decided not to have cake, but to have an ice cream cone.
After dessert, it was time for presents.
The boys had a great time at their party and we are thankful for everyone who attended the party.

TN Birthday Party (part 1)
My parents planned a birthday party for Max and Crocker when we got to TN. I really did not have a clue as to what was going on, so I thought they did a great job with all the planning.
Their cousins were able to come up on Saturday for the party. They started the festivities with donut holes. Crocker was so excited when he saw them. He shoved his way to the front of the line and was eating one before the other kids even received their sacks.
After donuts, we went to the bounce house. My boys love love going, so this was perfect. Crocker is big enough to climb the stairs and go down all the slides himself.
My dad got some good pictures of all the kids. Max was too busy, so all of his pictures are of him on the go.

Costumes
My boys love to dress up in costumes. We were traveling the day after Halloween, so I asked my dad to go and pick us up a couple of discounted costumes. My boys have been loving their new selection of dress up attire.
We have had a lot of fun with these Mickey Mouse hands.
I have been visited by Superman and a ninja that thinks he is Batman, a firefighter, Spiderman, and a pirate.

On the Road Again...
We drove to TN this week. We broke it up over a 2 day period and it ended up taking us about 16 hours. The kids are such troopers and do so so great in the car.
We spent the night at a hotel and I woke up to this:
I don't know if he fell out of the bed or what, but he was cozy on the floor.
Popcorn actually sat in Max's lap and was content to sit there for awhile. Usually he gets as far away from the kids as he can!
Crocker had his very own ice cream cone. He usually has to share, but Sheldon wanted to treat him.
He thought he was big stuff and really enjoyed it!
We stopped for gas and to use the restroom. I took Max and Sheldon took Crocker. When we came out of the bathroom, Crocker was carrying a king size m&m's. He really enjoyed them!
I think he might have shared with Sheldon!
All the sugar and riding wore him out!
We are happy to be here with family, but the boys are already missing their daddy. We have a fun filled few weeks planned and then Sheldon will meet us to help drive us home!

Fall Fun
The boys and I have been trying to do a few fun fall activities lately.
They made a tree with falling leaves using their arm as the tree and fingertips as the leaves.
Max colored an owl costume. Crocker was more into running wild this day.
We had a pumpkin carving party with friends. The boys were excited to carve a pumpkin and show it to daddy when he got home.
We have had fun making crafts, homemade applesauce, and talking about fall.
