2009 and 2010

These pictures of Max blow my mind.
The 1st picture was taken when he started school last year. He started in December 2009.
The 2nd picture was taken September 2010.

He looks so grown up now and the babyish boy is gone.

1st Day of School

Max started back to school today for the fall program.
He loves school and was so excited to go to school.

He was ready to go bright and early this morning.

We stopped to get donut holes on the way to school as a 1st day treat.

We are excited to watch Max learn, grow, and have fun this school year.

Ready for School

Max's school starts back this week. I have been gathering his school supplies the past few weeks and we went yesterday to get the odds and ends that I had left to purchase. Max is excited and ready to go to back and see his friends and his teacher.
While we were out, I talked Sheldon in taking us out to eat. We have been trying to give Crocker more table food, so him and Max shared a kids meal.
Crocker really enjoyed his grilled cheese!

We had a fun outing and we are all ready for the new school year!

Sick Days

The past few days have not been fun. I got so sick and had to call Sheldon to come home from a job he was on. I was able to have a friend watch the boys and go to the doctor. I had pharyngitis, which is like strep throat. It was miserable and the worst part was the fever that went with it.
Sheldon has been Mr. Mom for the past few days and he is worn out. He has done such a good job with the boys and has tried to keep up with all the housework/laundry. He did tell me today that he was ready to go back to work and have a break. ha ha!
I am so thankful that his boss was understanding and let him be at home for a few days. I really do not know how I would have made it without him!

Meet the Teacher

Max's school had the annual meet the teacher night this past week. He already knew his teacher, but they have moved to a new classroom.
Max loves loves his school and he was so excited to go last night. He was excited to sit in his chair and see his teacher.

11 Months

Crocker turned 11 months old on the 2nd. Whew! Time is really flying by!

He is a busy little bee these days and into everything. You can't turn your back for a second with him around. He loves to get into Popcorn's dog food and splash in his water bowl.
He is most content crawling around on the floor moving from toy to toy.
He is wearing a size 4 diaper.
He is wearing 6-12 month clothing.
He is still taking 2 naps a day and sleeping 12-13 hours a night.
He has 4 teeth, but 2 more are starting to come through.
He eats yogurt for breakfast, applesauce or another type of fruit for lunch, and a vegetable for dinner.
He eats Cheerios with every meal.

Whenever we go anywhere, we always hear the same type of comments, "He is so content; He is so happy; etc".

Most people are shocked when we tell them that he is this way all the time. He is so laid back and goes with the flow. He is on a strict schedule and his body knows when it is time to eat or sleep. Any other time of the day, he is happy and usually has a smile on his face.

It is so hard to believe that he is almost a year old. It feels like time is going by too fast and he (and Max) will be grown before Sheldon and I know it.

Fashion Expert

Max is really into changing his clothes and picking out his own clothes these days. I had to lock him out of his room the other day because he was messing up his dresser drawers and pulling out all his clothes.
He gets his mind set on what he wants to wear and nothing else will do. These days, he loves his Toy Story shirt and his shirt with a toucan on it.
He had a fit to wear these pj's to bed. I turned his fan on, so hopefully he will not get too hot.
