Blizzard 2013 Day 2

The boys were out of school on Tuesday and Sheldon was home another day.

 Eli had a doctor's appointment already scheduled for his 1 year checkup. I wanted to try and make it if the doctor was open because I was pretty sure he had an ear infection.
Thank goodness Sheldon was home to drive us because I would have never even been able to make it out of the driveway with all of the snow that had built up. Anyways, we made it to the doctor and sure enough Eli had an ear infection.



We ate lunch at a new BBQ place in town and then came home to play. Eli went down for his nap and Sheldon and the big boys went out to scoop the driveway.



One of our neighbors got his bobcat out, so our driveway was clear in no time.


Then, the boys started building a snowman.



Crocker got tired and the sun was in his eyes, so he made do with what he had on hand.



After playing in the snow, Sheldon made homemade snow cones. They were so yummy and everyone loved them!

Blizzard 2013

We have been in the midst of a blizzard.

It started snowing late last night and has continued all day long. It is supposed to continue into the night. So, far we have about 14 inches of snow with 3-4 foot snow drifts in places in our yard.

 This is off our front porch around 10 this morning.

This is out of our bank door and it was taken around 3-4 this afternoon. The yellow piece sticking up by the play place is a cozy coupe car.

 

This was taken around 6 tonight. Sheldon opened the garage door and this is what greeted us.



Anyway, we have been snowed in all day and have had such a good time. We did crafts this morning. The boys colored, we made homemade play dough, and used vinegar/baking soda to make "volcanoes".



The boys love love the movie Home Alone and they made "booby traps" for Sheldon and I to talk through.



You can see that Sheldon "fell" and the boys were eating it up!



Poor Popcorn has not wanted to go outside today and Sheldon gladly took him out this afternoon.



We let the boys go out and play after the snow died down. Max had a blast jumping off the porch into the snow.



The boys topped off the night with cookies and hot chocolate.

Somehow I never got a picture of Eli today, but he had a good day too. :)

Valentine's 2013

We celebrated Valentine's Day a day early this year.

We woke up to snow and the boys both had a school delay. They went to school and Sheldon and I (and Eli) went out to breakfast. Sheldon and I laughed that we felt like we were alone, even though Eli was with us. It's amazing how much different things are with just 1 child with you.



Sheldon had plans for a guys weekend and needed to leave on Valentine's.

While he was gone the boys and I had a good weekend. I got caught up on the Bachelor.
We went to Sonic and the car wash in our pj's. Eli got stuck in a toy box and the big boys were crazier than usual.


 

While I was at home managing the crazies, Sheldon had a great time. He had a weekend full of shooting, hunting, and hanging with the guys.




We all had a great weekend and are now back in the swing of work/school!

We have 3 wild and crazy boys. They are on the move nonstop all day.
I took these pictures yesterday and was glad to get just one of them all looking at the camera and somewhat smiling.

My boys love nothing more than to load up their guns in the car and go shooting with their dad.

Eli and I tagged along the other day and we all had the best time. The big boys were in their element running around, looking at bones, peeking in holes, and having races with each other. Eli was all smiles and just giddy to be out of the house and in the car.
