Christmas in TN -Day 4

We had our big Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve. We cooked a big meal, ate together, opened presents, and had fun!


We read the Christmas story with the boys before bed. They were excited to go to bed and wait for Santa!

Christmas in TN -Day 3

Max and Crocker spent the night with Granny, so it was just Eli and Mickey for breakfast.



 After breakfast, we hung around the house. My mom and I went to see Saving Mr. Banks. It was so good! We ate dinner and then took the big boys bowling. Sheldon thought he was the best bowler in the family, but we set out to prove him wrong! The kids had never been bowling before and they loved it!

 
I came out victorious over Sheldon!

Christmas in TN- Day 2

My sister and her family came in late Saturday night. Max spent the night with Granny and everyone was so happy to see him when he arrived!



The kids played around with their cousins and then they all decorated the Christmas tree.



We all got ready for church and took a few family pictures.  We all got a good laugh when Eli snuck in my sister's family picture.



It was a special day at church. Eli was christened.



Then we went to lunch after.



My dad gathered everyone up when we got home from lunch for a surprise. Apparently I am the only one aware of someone taking pictures. ha!



My parents planned a big surprise. My dad called Sheldon and my brother in law over the summer to get a couple dates they would be able to take off work. My dad told them he was going to surprise my mom, my sister, and I with a trip to the beach for our family. Well everyone was surprised when they revealed the surprise beach trip was really a trip to Disney World and my mom was in on the surprise the whole time! We are all super excited and can't wait!


We ended the day with a little nail painting and more fun with family!

Christmas in TN- Day 1

Whew! This month off from blogging has flown by. We went to TN for Christmas and had a great time. We got home, the kids started back to school, basketball practices and games started, and life got in the way. I have a lot to catch up on!

I will start with our Christmas recap.

We left Thursday after Max got out of school and drove partway that night. We got up on Friday and drove the rest of the way. We got there around dinnertime and I didn't even take a picture.

Saturday my dad took the big boys on a chocolate milk and donut run. Nothing is better than donuts for breakfast! Then we loaded up and took the kids to the bounce house. Eli thinks he is as big as his brothers and he was all over the place!


Later that night, Santa dropped by. The kids were so surprised and thrilled!


We even got a family picture with Santa. (I just love Sheldon's huge wet spot on his shirt. He had just given the little boys their bath.)
