PTA

Today was a PTA meeting day. After school most of the Kindergarten teachers went out to eat dinner. We went to Ruby Tuesdays. It was really nice. Then, we went to the meeting. It was okay. It lasted 1 1/2 hours. At the end, they had door prizes. My number was called and I won a $25 gift card to Cracker Barrel. YAY!!!
Tomorrow my teacher will not be at school. She took off to go with her son on a field trip. She left the sub a note that said I would be teaching and to help me with whatever I needed. haha. So, I will be completely in charge tomorrow. It will be a true test as to my ability as a teacher. Let's hope it goes well!!

Funny Funny

The weird student in my class that eats pencil erasers got his head stuck in his jacket today. He had a pullover type jacket. He could not get his head through and was freaking out. It was pretty funny. Also the students had to write sentences with their spelling words. Their words are can, he, and she. They have to sound out the words they want to write themselves. One student brought his paper for me to check. He choose to write the sentence with the word can. His sentence was, "Can my mom go to the hood?" It was supposed to say, "Can my mom go to the house?" He had sounded out house and spelled it hood. It was really funny. Kids are funny.
Tonight I made lasagna. It was really good. We had it with salad. Sheldon may have to work on Saturday. I do not think that it fair. They work 5 days a week and I think they should get the weekend days off.

LOOOOOONG DAY

Today was such a long day. The students were so hyper and could not focus on what we were doing. I sent 9 out of 18 home on red. That is the lowest. 5 on yellow, 3 on green, and 0 on blue. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Sheldon and I are celebrating Valentines Day this weekend since it is during the week. We are going to eat at the Macaroni Grill on Saturday night. Then on Sunday, we are going to go get a couples massage!!! We are going to Vanilla Day Spa. It will be so fun. I am so excited! I will let you know how it is!!!

Full Day Teaching

Today was my first full day as the teacher. It was GREAT!!! I absolutely loved it. I am so glad that I took advantage of the student teaching opportunity. I am learning so much. It is amazing how fast the day flies by when you are teaching. I got to school at 8:30 and looked up and it was 10:30. Today we learned about the penny, the letter Dd, and transportation. Most of the students were well behaved. I had one student that was testing me to see how much she could get away with. She did not get away with much. She went from green, to yellow, to red, to the board, and then to the bookcase. Usually, red is the lowest the student goes. Sheldon got off today at 1:00. He has to go back to work at midnight to unload some aircraft. That stinks! I hope I do not get scared!!! :) We will have to see what tomorrow brings at school!!!

Super Bowl

Tonight Sheldon and I are going to a Super Bowl Party at Chris and Becky's. Go Colts! Go Peyton Manning from TN!!!!! It should be really fun. We are also going to pick up the set it and forget it that they bought us for the wedding. It was on back order and it just got in. :) I think i might cook a roast on it tomorrow. I will post pictures of it! We also went to Blockbuster to exchange 4 movies that we got through the mail for 4 in the store. We are watching Fly Boys right now. It is turning colder here in GA. Maybe we will see some snow this week!!!

Super Fun Day

I got up and cleaned house today. Sheldon did the dishes for me. Then, we got ready and went to the mall. Sheldon got a pair of tan shoes for $10. They are the Wallabee knockoffs. They were 70% off. That is a deal!!! Then, I got a birthday present for someone. :) We ate lunch at the food court. Then, we went to Build-a-Bear. Sheldon made me one a while back. I got an army outfit for it for $12. It is cute. It goes with all my American Flag decor. I also went to spend my Victoria's Secret gift card from Christmas. I bought 3 pairs of panties. I still have $25 left. I will have to go back another day. We went and looked for a hotel for my mom and aunt. They are coming in April! Wa-Hoo! We also went to see "Because I Said So". It was GREAT!!! I loved it. It reminded me of how my mom, sister, and I are. They have a great relationship, just like us.

Observations

Today my university supervisor came to observe me for the 1st time. It went really well. She did not have any negative things to say and she was impressed by me. She said I was doing great. I am so glad that the students were attentive and listened well while she was there. The boys in my class stopped up the boys bathroom in our classroom. Someone flushed a toy in the potty and the janitor cannot fix it. They have to call in a work order. I have been having to take the boys to the school bathroom. Well, they have started sliding under the stalls and then standing on the toilet to peep over at their neighbor. I just cannot believe some of the things that boys come up with.
I start teaching full time for the next 2 weeks. It should be very interesting. This weekend, I am going to work on my lessons for the week of the 12th. I am going to go to the mall with Sheldon, sleep late, and clean house. Tonight, we went to Panera bread for dinner. While I was waiting for Sheldon to come, I went into a Home Goods. I bought decorative dishtowels for Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Easter. So, I have decorations up until May! Haha Now I just need door decorations. :)
