Sheldon and 244 other soldiers plane landed at 10:15 am on Tuesday morning. It is such a relief and countless prayers have been answered. I cannot even begin to describe the amount of relief you feel when they are marching in and having the end of deployment ceremony.
Unless you have had a loved one deploy, you cannot not even imagine the worry and fear you live with for the entire time they are gone. You worry that you will miss a phone call. When the doorbell rings or a weird number is on your caller id, your heart just sinks.
I am so relieved and thankful that Sheldon and his entire batallion made it home safely. YAHOO!!!
SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!! Congrats on surviving this long deployment!
ReplyDeleteHOORAY!!!! Oh Jenny, my heart just goes out to you! You just got through the hardest thing on a wife and a mother! I am so glad Sheldon made it home safely and you're reunited as a family! What a wonderful feeling! Now make him take care of you really good so you can heal from surgery!
ReplyDeleteOh I am so happy for you guys. I am so happy they he is home and you can finally be together. I can not imagine what it must be like to have your husband be gone for so long. I have so many mixed emotions lately because my little brother joined the Marines. He will leave in November to go to boot camp and then I am sure he will go over there. I am so nervous and scared. I don't even know what to expect. I am glad Sheldon made it home ok and all is well.
ReplyDeleteThat is so great that Sheldon made it home! I think I take for granted the freedoms that we have and forget about the men and women who are serving our country. So thank you Sheldon for your service! I appreciate it and I'm glad you made it home! You have a special woman and I'm sure you know that!!!!!
