Welcome Home!!!

Yesterday, we had a little welcome home party for Sheldon. Our family that lives nearby come over to celebrate. Sheldon made pulled pork and it was really good. I made baked beans and potato salad. We had a lot of fun and it was good to have people over.

He is Home

Sheldon was offically honorably discharged from the US Army on Thursday. I am so proud of him and I am so glad that he is home. He has spent 7.5 years in the service, has been overseas to fight in the war 4 times, and has spent alot of time away from his family.
I am so glad that he is home and we are looking forward to the new adventure.

11 Months Old

Max is now 11 months old. He is such a big boy. He weighs 27 pounds. He still loves sweet potatoes. I have not found a juice that he will drink. He will only drink formula or water. He is crawling like a mad man. He is pulling up to everything and is starting to cruise.

Spaghetti Anyone?

For Sheldon

For some reason unknown to me, Sheldon wants a pot-bellied pig. I guess he thinks they are cute. Who knows. I have told him no way!!! Anyways, at the carvival, they had a petting zoo. In a little cage, they had a pig for sale for $50. Too bad.

Festival

Today there was a parade, rides, and carnival food in the town where we live. My dad, mom, Kaye, and Rob came up for the event. We watched the parade.

Then, Max rode the carousel.

Afterwards, we came back to our house. Max and daddy were worn out from the day.

Playing with Grandpa

Max and Ryne were on the floor playing with Grandpa today. We tried to take a picture and it did not work so well. We finally got a good one, kinda.

1st popsicle

Ryne had his 1st Popsicle today. He was so funny eating it. It got all over him, but he really liked it.

Happy Birthday Brent

School

School is going really well. Yesterday was a Grandparent's Day lunch. I had 6 students that had someone come and eat lunch with them. We made special cards and the cafeteria made a special lunch. The best part was that they could leave with their grandparent, so after lunch I only had 16. haha.

Sheldon is still in GA. All the equipment is back from Iraq, so they have been busy unpacking it all. He should be home in a few weeks for good. I will be so glad. We will miss the Army lifestyle and all that it offers, but it will be much better for our family.

Max's ears

Max is finally over an ear infection that he has had for 2 weeks. After a round of antibotic and a shot, it has cleared up. I am so thankful that he is better and I hope that he will stay well.

He is doing so good at daycare. For awhile, he cried when I dropped him off. Now, he goes right to the lady and has a smile on his face.

A Great Start

Today was the season opener for Notre Dame. They had a rocky start, but pulled off a win. YAY!!!
