Secrets Secrets

Max and I are spending the week with my mom. My dad is out of town, so we are having a "girls week". We went out to eat tonight with my aunt and uncle. After dinner, Aunt Kaye and Max were telling secrets. Max was intently listening to the secrets she was telling.

Church

Max and I have been attending church with my parents while Sheldon is gone. The church is mainly older people, but they love Max so much. They all flock to see him every Sunday and love to play with him. Yesterday, Mr. Guy held Max for the 1st part of the service. He bounced him on his knee and Max had so much fun with him.

Save Our Money

I think I am going to quit buying Max toys. He is just as content playing and chewing on Popcorn's bones. I can just let them share toys. Sheldon and I would be saving a lot of money.

Hi Mom!

These pictures were taken after I got Max up to change his diaper after he had been in bed for 1 hour and 45 minutes. I went to check on him before I went to bed and he had pooped his pants. He was sound asleep and he only woke up when I laid him on the changing table.
He is going to be the hardest little boy to potty train because it does not bbother him one bit to have dirty pants. He would rather sleep or play than cry to let you know he is dirty.

A few pictures

Max and I have not really been doing anything worth blogging about. We have been talking to Sheldon, playing, reading books, and going to the YMCA. That is about it. We are pretty boring.

This past weekend, we went to Memphis to have Father's Day with my sister. My parents wanted a picture with their 2 grandsons. Ryne was good, but Max was not wanting to cooperate. He was squrming and trying his best to get down. He is a little boy with a mind of his own.

Getting Close

It is getting really close to Sheldon being home. I know the leave date from Iraq and the return date to the US. We have booked our hotel rooms and are getting ready!!!

Water Worm

Max loves loves to be in water. He really likes to splash and play. I took these pictures tonight when he was taking a bath. He is having so much fun. Check out his hair. It gets a little crazy when it is wet.

Bottle

Max is holding his own bottle. He drinks it and then throws it down on the ground. That is my cue that he is finished and I need to pick it up.

Sleeping

Max cracks me up when he is sleeping. He lays on his side and crosses his legs. I think it is really cute. Please excuse the crazy socks. I needed to do some laundry.

Bath Time

When Max and I visit my parents, my dad loves to give Max a bath. Max loves his baths and it is fun to watch them play. Lately, Max has been watching his Grandpa run the bath water. He stands there and laughs and tries to play with the water running out of the faucet. Luckily, his arms are still a little too short.

Playing with Cousin

Max and Ryne had a little playtime yesterday. Mostly, Ryne laid in the floor and Max sat up and looked at him. Then, they got in their bouncy seats.

Update

Wild Bill is down for the night. (hopefully)

Wild Bill Hickok

Max and I went to meet Aunt Kaye for lunch just to get out of the house. He was so wild that she started calling him Wild Bill Hickok. Here are a few pictures from yesterday and today of Wild Bill.

8 Months

Max is 8 months old today.

-He weighs almost 25 pounds.
-He has 4 teeth.
-He loves sweet potatoes. When he was sick, that is all he would eat.
-He can sit up by himself.
-He licks everything he sees.
-He can feed himself crackers, cheese, and cereal.
-He likes to suck on pickles and lemons.
-He is usually laid back and really easy to handle. Today he has been so wild and I am not sure why.
-He likes to pet Popcorn.
-He loves to be on the floor with his toys. He can roll anywhere he wants to go.

Much Better!!!

Max is feeling much better today. He has been talking and playing alot more than the past few days. He even ate a little applesauce and sweet potatoes.
I have seen a world of difference in just 1 dose of the new medicine. I hope that it does the trick and he keeps feeling better each day!

What a Birthday

I spent most of my birthday at home with Max and Popcorn. Then, I spent the rest of it at the ER with a sick baby. Max's fever would not go down and he would hardly drink any liquids. I called the nurse at his doctor's and she was worried about him getting dehydrated. He is slightly dehydrated and has strep throat. They put him on a new medicine and hopefully we will see some change with it.

Popsicle

Max has not really been eating or drinking since he has been sick. We do not want him to get dehydrated, so my dad made Pedialyte Popsicles for Max. He really liked those!

Happy Birthday to Me

Happy Birthday to me tomorrow. My family celebrated it today. Sheldon sent me these beautiful flowers that were delivered today. My dad cooked ribs and baked potatoes. It was really good. For dessert, we had little cakes. Tomorrow it will be official and I will be the big 25.

A Little Better

Max is feeling a little better today. He slept all night and woke up without a fever. He played a little this morning and now he is taking a nap.

Fast Week

This week has gone by so fast. I have been in a class everyday working towards my
Pre-K endorsement on my teaching license. I am finished with my class, after going for 5 days 8-4. I just have to take a Praxis test and then I will add Pre-K as an area that I can teach.
Max has been going to daycare for the 1st time this week. He has been having a good time and really enjoying it. Today, he had to be picked up early because his fever was 103. He went to the doctor and was tested for strep, but it was inconclusive.
He has some medicine, so he will be feeling better tomorrow, hopefully.
Needless to say, I am not fond of daycare. I like Max better at home. This week was hard just seeing him about 2 hours all together. I know this is how it will be when I start teaching, so I am cherishing every moment that I stay at home with him.
I have not heard back about the job. The principal and I have emailed a few times and she said that she would let me know in a few weeks, so who knows.

Popcorn's Hideout

One of Popcorn's hideouts is under beds. If he is in trouble or is doing something he should not be, he is under a bed. Tonight, I was getting ready to go to bed and I did not see him. I looked around and then I looked under the bed. He found a bone under there and was chewing away.

After awhile, he wanted to see what I was doing. He is such a funny little dog.

Day Care

I am taking a class this week to work towards my Pre-K certification. I go Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm. Since I am at school, Max has to go to day care for the week. Here he is ready to go for his first day.

He did really well. He played, rolled, and watched all the other babies. He took a little morning nap, but no afternoon nap. He was just having too much fun. His teacher said that he only cried when another baby was crying. He is a sympathy crier. haha. I am glad that he had a good day.
